On eBay, what to do if a higher bid is made out of an auction?

I'm selling a gift card from eBay. The auction still has six days. However, I was recently contacted by a potential buyer through a message he wanted to buy my item for an amount higher. Is there any feature on eBay, allowing me to end the auction and sale to the buyer for the amount specified?

I would not. That is a prayer card scam. He offer to send a check for far more than the price you are asking, but you are supposed to ship the item to him immediately * * in a foreign country … and as long as your bank informs you that gave you the check has bounced, the issue is gone and there is no way track and there is no way to locate the buyer, either because they do not pass through eBay channels!
