Auction New York City

Marilyn Monroe’s white dress from the “Seven Year Itch”, where is it?
Does anyone know what ever became of the iconic dress Marilyn Monroe wore in the movie, “The Seven Year Itch”? This is the white dress she is wearing while standing on the subway grate in New York City, with the dress billowing up around her. It is one of the most famous dresses in the world, and yet, I can’t find much about the original online. Is it privately owned? Was it auctioned as part of her estate sale? Do the Holywood Studios still own it? Is it lost? I hear there are several copies of the dress floating around, but I am interested in the whereabouts of the original.
Details are sketchy, but it appears as if the original is owned by actress Debbie Reynolds. After Reynolds bought the dress other people have tried to auction off replicas or fakes, and it is always referenced that Debbie has the original dress (and many others) in her private collection.
