Is it legal for an auction house to bid on it’s own items?
I’ve seen online auction houses, similar to eBay, but they collect a fee when you make a bid on a product. It seems to me that they make the most if they (secretly) outbid any bidders so the item never sells, and they just collect the fees from the losing bidders. Isn’t that fraud? Does anybody police that?
That’s calling shilling. It happens a lot on E-bay and other sites.
