about ipods and mp3s?

I was looking on ebay to find a little ipod or mp3 for my sis for her b- day and im only 14…i dont have a job or anything so i need something cheap. I was looking at an auction for a Sandisk(the brand) mp3 player its only for the player and not the CD, USB, ect… can i still transfer music on it or do i have to have the software installed and a USB?
oh yea…and also… if you do have to have the USB cable…does it have to be a USB that came with the actual mp3 or are USBs classified by size and I could just buy a new one?

Yes, you do need the usb cable in order to hook the mp3 or ipod up to your computer to download songs. You can either go to limewire.com and download limewire (an illegal but free downloading system) or itunes.com and download itunes (a legal but ‘for sale’ downloading system). Also, eBay might have them, but you can look online for MP4′s or MP3′s. You can buy them used for only $30-$50. I have an awesome MP4 that I bought for $49.99 an it’s great. It looks like an iPod nano and it comes in black and white. That would probably be your best choice.
