Dealership Auction

Where do the cars of one model year go if a dealership does not sell them in time?

I’m looking for a new car and I noticed down the street that one dealership has to have at least 75 models of the Toyota Tundra. If he only sells 50 before the model year ends than where do the rest of them go. Do they go somewhere that a consumer can purchase one, do they go to private auctions or even overseas?

In many cases the dealer will have to register those cars under thier name and then sell them off as pre-register cars or sell them as used cars with delivery mileage on them. Sometimes the dealer will do a deal with a car hire company and sell them at a discounted price or even they will be siold to the public at a discounted price.
