Is this a good idea for a book?
Its only a short idea;
Two middle-aged men are fighting over this middle-aged woman and shes upset. She says its because she lost this box with her will in it. She is very rich but has no one to leave her fortune too. Then she says to the men whoever can find the box first will be put in her will.
(Missing scenes cause its not a finished idea yet)
The two men find the box at the same time in an auction then they have to bid higher and higher to get it. One of the men, lets call him Bob to make it easier to explain, wins the box but Bob doesn’t have enough money to pay so the auctioneer says it goes to the second highest bidder which is… Frank (the other man). They then do a big car chase or something to fight over the box.
And I also need to make up an ending (suggestions welcome)
It sounds like a good extra to be thrown into a story, but I think the idea by itself is a little boring and doesn’t have a lot of potential for middle stuff. Maybe if you made a huge contrast for the two men… idk, I just don’t think there’d be a lot to write about other than the ending.
