Hoping to reach an understanding of the hype surrounding eBay, which had investigated the popular aspects of the site along with its downfalls. In combination with A survey conducted by eBay users, we developed a strategy to improve the online auction business and encourage users to create their own site.

EBay remains the number one online auction site, even after the competition tried to take it down. How EBay has maintained its popularity then all this time? EBay is not just a place for users to list items for sale. It has developed into a community and a place with endless options. EBay has worked hard to create a global business, maintaining the small town feel. Buyers and sellers communicate through comments, ask the seller, and other options to keep simple contact. For your membership site features blogs, neighborhoods, discussion forums, chat rooms, response centers, and news updates continue to build a community for all involved. All of these features creates a level of trust between users and growing the company. Besides building a community, eBay has created options to help users expand their businesses. Users can become PowerSellers or develop their own store. These benefits enable greater visibility and helped people to increase their income.

In our survey conducted by eBay users, traffic, presence international payment options, and ease of use were the topics mentioned above when asked about what they liked about eBay. EBay is easy to use, takes the traffic heavy, and highlights many purchasing and payment options. The site has developed many special features to satisfy their users and to create a new audience.

As with all sites, eBay is not perfect. Users with less inventory and not labeled as PowerSellers, get overshadowed by the stores that appeal to a broad base users. Recent rate increases have hurt all on eBay, especially small vendors. In our survey, eight to nine percent of eBay users said that rates were high, while the other eleven percent said average. Ordinary users have been left on the latest developments. What happened to the objective creating a community, including all users?

When eBay users were asked to explain why they have created their own auction site in our survey the most frequent responses was that it was too complex, they were not sure how and where to create it, I would not do a lot of traffic, and did not have enough technology experience to do it themselves. Creating a personal auction site does not require users to apply certain rules or restrictions rates and payment options. If the user already has a broad base of buyers, the development of their own site is perfect since it eliminates the fear of building traffic. All technological support will be provided by the software company so that users can focus on selling their products. By creating an auction site online, users in developing the site exactly how you imagine that without addressing the barriers applied by the great eBay and other sites.
