Once a house goes back to the bank after no buyer at auction, how long do tenants have before eviction?

My ex and son still live in the home. It went up for auction on September 18th of this year and no one bought it. I was told it went back to the bank and they had 20 days to get out, but they have gotten no notice? I am worried about my son and he doesnt know when he should be moving. It is in Washington State and I was also told they have 2 months once the bank gets it back. ? We are confused

Nothing you heard is correct.

Your son has about 20 days only if he has not been paying rent, but that is an eviction, he has not been served those papers yet.

It is federally mandated that the bank has to accept rent as per the lease agreement for 90 days after they own the house.

YOur son should be paying the rent into an escrow account at this point. If he paid rent in full to the landlord for September he should not worry about this month, just keep his proof of payment.
