Need some ideas….benefits the arts…?

My partner and I are planning a fundraiser cocktail party for a local arts organizations. It is our grand opening as a new event planning service in town and the benefit will go to this organization that provides art programs for underpriviledged children and youth. It’s going to be in the actual art studio and will be super trendy, swanky. We are going to have a silent auction where guests can bid on the children’s artwork….any other creative ideas?

If it’s a children’s art show, you can have the kids decorate paper plates people will be eating off of, and have the kids help decorate the place. Hand out balloons at the door. I don’t know if that’s “swanky” or not, but it adds a personal touch.
