How long does it take for my bank account to show I have funds available once I deposit the funds?
Reason: I want to do online bidding at an auction site for auction that is only being held on monday at 11 a.m. and today is saturday night and I need to get “authorized” online to be aable to bid online. I assume that authorizing means the money has to be in my account, because it refuses to authorize me. I have the cash to put into the bank account, but will it show up on my account, if deposited at 8:30 monday morning, so I can get authorized online to do the bidding.
If I can’t get this done, I must drive to the auction to bid in person, which is 350 miles away…..about 6 hours driving! So, I need to know by sunday because if I can’t have deposited funds show up “quickly” then I must start my travel at about 4 am monday morning….before the bank opens to ask them about this.
Please advise if you know.
Better get to driving Sunday.
You can make a deposit Monday morning, but it wouldn’t be ‘confirmed’ until Tuesday. The banking people MIGHT verify that there are funds available Monday, but the computer wouldn’t.
That is just the way the banking industry works.
