Website design like ebay!?

Hi guys, i was little curious how ebay made their site. Where they get the code or program and etc. and can i make a similar kind of those and what do i need to start one. I want to make a website for auction and also charge quite little of insertion and final fee. Anyone with this knowledge please advice me

The people at Ebay have spent a very long time developing one of the most popular and profitable web companies on the internet. If you don’t understand how web sites work, and you’re attempting to ‘make your own ebay’, I assure you, you’re going to have a very hard time.

So, step 1: Get a degree in Computer Science. Depending on what country your in, that should cost you a few tens of thousands of dollars, and 4 years of your life.

Step 2: Get venture capital (good luck!)

Step 3: Hire a team of software engineers, and spend months or years or more designing and building your system. Thousands and thousands of dollars.

Step 4: Run a successful advertising campaign, and get enough people moving to your site. Yeah, that’s going to be pricey too.

Step 5: Lets not forget the very large workforce of support staff you’ll need to train and pay.

Step 6: You know, I think you’re getting the idea by now…
